Dr. Michelle Laureano Roque
Dr. Michelle Laureano Roque serves as the Executive Director of Mujer Lehigh Valley Magazine, a publication that has been serving the community for more than a decade and has become a leading platform dedicated to the empowerment, education, and entrepreneurial development of Hispanic women.
Under her leadership, the magazine has expanded its reach into Luzerne, Berks, Lancaster, and Monroe Counties, providing educational workshops, conferences, networking opportunities, and strategic guidance. Through these initiatives, more than 300 women entrepreneurs have received support in launching, growing, and strengthening their businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley region.
Dr. Laureano Roque holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Health and is a Certified Business and Success Coach. Her academic background, entrepreneurial mindset, and commitment to community development have established her as a respected advocate for the growth and visibility of Pennsylvania's Latino community.
She has also served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley, including Community Services for Children, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, Parents as Teachers, and Hogar Crea, reflecting her longstanding dedication to social impact and community advancement.
In recognition of her humanitarian contributions, Dr. Laureano Roque received a Congressional Recognition for her efforts supporting Puerto Rican communities following Hurricane Maria, as well as a distinction from the Senate of Puerto Rico for her dedicated service to vulnerable populations.
